Chiropractic Treatment

"The Doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause of prevention of disease"

--Thomas Edison

How does chiropractic treatment help?

One of the best things chiropractic has to offer is to help you restore your body to pain free living, and to regain free, flexible, and fluid motion.

With chiropractic, the major joints in the body can move more freely and gracefully - especially the spine.

Again, with motion comes life. Personally, I want to be able to move around on this planet for as long as I can do so in a pain free, flexible way. I have no intention of being stiff and stooped when I am 80 years old, and I know how to accomplish that. I intend to be happily, freely moving around where and when I want. How about you?

Nature wants you to be well. I agree with that statement, and, most likely, you do too. In fact, if you are reading this, you are probably looking for a way to accomplish just that.

So, read on...

The original, fundamental principles of chiropractic are simple:

  1. Chiropractic is about allowing the innate intelligence of the body, mind and spirit to express itself without limits.

  2. The power that made the body heals the body. It happens no other way.

  3. Healing takes place from above down, from the inside out.

You see, the brain is the computer that runs everything. The brain is continuous with the spinal cord, and together, they control ALL functions of the body.

This means that the brain sends and receives signals to and from every cell, tissue, organ and system of the body, and gets feedback from them all as well. This occurs about 4 billion times per second.

When this communication process is unrestricted, we can express perfect health.

Anything that disturbs this process, inhibits us from expressing perfect health, and our function can become limited.

Similar concepts form the foundation of Acupuncture, Qi Gong and Yoga.

In fact, the brain is dependent on input from the joints, especially those of the spine, to maintain its ability to thrive! In other words, when we don't move, we degenerate, and we are in a state of decline.

We know that the brain centers for motion, E-motion and thought are very closely related. It follows, then, that when we move more, through the help of chiropractic, we actually begin to reverse the aging process! Then, we can experience the vitality that may seem as if it was lost forever.

For these reasons, the chiropractor is primarily interested in the detection, and correction of spinal nerve interference. That is why most chiropractors first focus on the vertebrae, the bones and joints of the head, neck and back. I also adjust the ankles, wrists, elbows and knees, working with various muscles, tendons and ligaments, as needed.

I have studied many types of chiropractic diagnostic and treatment approaches, including some that use instruments that allow gentle, yet effective adjustments using very low force. In fact, one treatment approach is done entirely in the standing position.
