From a western perspective, at the deepest level, everything in this world is composed of energy. This energy is electromagnetic in nature.
What do I mean by that? Everything is composed of atoms, and atoms are composed of a nucleus, protons, and electrons. Going deeper into the nucleus, we find ourselves looking at what appears to be nothing at all. Quantum physics tells us there is so much space in the nucleus that there is virtually nothing there but energy.

Similarly, from a Chinese perspective, all things have Qi (chee), with Yin and Yang aspects, continually in a state of flux, acting upon each other. Qi moves in a predictable fashion, from one channel, or meridian, to another, at predictable times. As long as nothing interferes with the flow of Qi, we are in a state of balance, and we express health. Should this flow be impeded, we begin to exhibit decreased health, and symptoms emerge. |

A thorough appraisal, including examination and interview, can reveal imbalances that prevent expression of perfect health, or balance.
Application of acupuncture principles, whether with pins (sounds so much better than needles, don't you think?) or non-pin approaches, can remove the blockages, and restore balance to your life.
When the body's physiological systems are in balance and receiving free-flowing information from the nervous system, we can experience our innate energy, vitality, enthusiastic attitude towards life, resilience, and healthy responses to the stress of daily life.
Is Acupuncture Safe?
Acupuncture is relatively painless, safe and effective. Importantly, it is also free from the so-called side effects that accompany pharmaceutical treatments.
Research shows that nearly everyone is, to some degree, interested in acupuncture.
Why? There is little ever said about acupuncture that is negative, simply because it works so well.
For most people, the barrier to action is simply that they don’t want to walk in to an office where the acupuncturist may be hard to understand, whether by concept or inflection. Many are reluctant to expose themselves to the unknown as told by an unknown acupuncturist. It’s not easy to understand anything this foreign to me.
Why not go ahead and get to know a little more about what we do?
